About Us...

So, now that you've found us, I should tell you a little bit more about us both.

We'll start with me, the Girl of this story. I'm 36, live with my partner, son and two step-kids. I'm a writer and consultant and have had two books published as well as hundreds of magazine features and I've been on TV and radio quite a bit. I am addicted to cookbooks, like to bake (I'm mostly fuelled entirely by tea and cake) and take on crazy endurance walking challenges. My kindle has far too many books on it especially when my bookshelves are still bulging and reading is my guilty pleasure. I love the long warm days of summer and winter evenings by the fire.

And on 27th February 2013, a Gundog named Storm stole my heart.

Storm, the four-legged heroine of our tale, is a Labrador Retriever of the most gorgeous kind. She comes from wonderful breeders and because of them, we have a gentle, happy, funny girl to share our lives with. Storm likes long walks, coming home and crashing out. She has claimed one of our sofas as her own and likes to stretch forward and back in the manner of an expert Yoga instructor. Apples, bananas and the odd lick of yoghurt are, frankly, the best treats in the world and she can retrieve all day long. Storm has the manners of an old school gentleman - she lets you go through doors first, she sits down when you stop walking, if you drop a glove she'll pick it up and she keeps you warm on cold evenings.

She is wonderful and she is loved.
